Dans les années 60, l’Afghanistan n’était pas un pays riche, mais il pouvait se vanter d’héberger une bourgeoisie avancée. Certes, hors de cette bourgeoisie, le peuple dans son ensemble, essentiellement des paysans, vivait dans une réelle pauvreté, mais une mobilité sociale restait possible. Les femmes pouvaient étudier, l’alcool n’était pas prohibé. Les années 1960 et 1970 en particulier sont connues comme l’âge d’or de Kaboul, lorsque la ville était un mélange de modernité et de tradition. C’était une époque où les femmes associaient minijupes et foulards, où les gens jouissaient de leurs libertés personnelles et où les hippies et les voyageurs affluaient vers la capitale du monde entier.

Of course, outside this bourgeoisie, the people as a whole, mainly peasants, lived in real poverty, but social mobility remained possible. Women could study, alcohol was not forbidden. The 1960s and 1970s in particular are known as the golden age of Kabul, when the city was a mix of modernity and tradition. It was a time when women were associating mini skirts and scarves, when people enjoyed their personal freedoms and when hippies and travelers flocked to the capital of the world.

Afin de contrer cette agression de l’URSS, l’administration Reagan n’a rien trouvé de mieux que d’armer une milice religieuse fondamentaliste, les Talibans.
Vrai, les Talibans ont transformé l’Afghanistan communiste en un Vietnam et offert aux USA une revanche sur l’infâme défaite de 1975 en Asie du Sud-Est. Les soviétiques ont quitté l’Afghanistan en 1989, les Talibans ont pris le pouvoir, les milices religieuses se sont senties investies du Droit Divin. Ben Laden organise les attentats du 11 septembre, porté par l’article 5, l’OTAN investit l’Afghanistan, Bush junior profite de la confusion pour introduire le criminel mensonge des armes de destruction massive et envahit sans aucun mandat l’Irak de Saddam Hussein.

Après plus d’une vingtaine d’années d’occupation par les forces occidentales, les Talibans auront lassé l’Occident qui se sera retiré et laissé l’Afghanistan dans sa propre fange.
Désormais, la Dystopie de 1984 décrite par Orwell s’est installée à Kaboul.

Les femmes, la liberté individuelle, les arts en sont les principales victimes. Toutefois, une résistance s’organise et quelques petites victoires permettent d’espérer. Peu avant la catastrophe de la prise du pouvoir par les imbéciles religieux, un courageux chef d’orchestre aura exfiltré les enfants d’une académie de musique, ces jeunes produisent des concerts et montrent que la culture afghane ne se résume pas à la charia.
Et pour conclure, remercions les criminels qui nous auront conduit dans ce bourbier. Ces criminels sont respectivement :
- Leonid Brejnev qui aura cru que les militaires règlent les problèmes politiques.
- Ronald Reagan, dont l’anti-communisme l’aura aveuglé et l’aura entraîné dans de sordides actions mafieuses,
- Bush junior assisté de son Vice-président Dick Cheney, ils auront monté le criminel mensonge des armes de destruction massive pour envahir l’Irak,
- sans oublier l’imbécile inculte Trump qui aura initié la catastrophique improvisation du retrait des forces occidentales d’Afghanistan.
Women, individual freedom and the arts are the main victims. However, resistance is organized and a few small victories give hope.
