Certains monuments à Paris se cachent derrière des activités ancillaires. C’est la cas du Bouillon Chartier. Cette institution centenaire a repris le restaurant Rougeot qui faisait partie des institutions parisiennes depuis les années 1900.
Some monuments in Paris are hidden behind ancillary activities. This is the case of the Bouillon Chartier. This centennial institution took over the restaurant Rougeot, which had been part of the Parisian institutions since the 1900s.
En entrée, avec Susan nous avons ouvert le bal avec chacun une demie douzaine d’escargots. De leur côté, Cathy et Claude l’ouvriront avec, respectivement, un hareng mariné et , qu’Alzheimer me pardonne, un truc que j’ai oublié.
Susan choisit le plat du jour, un Veau Marengo.

Claude une Choucroute.
Et ma pomme, un truc absolument dégueulasse, une Tête de Veau Sauce Gribiche.
Susan and myself started with a half dozen of Escargots each.
Claude and Cath parted with Hering for Cath and Claude selected an apetizer that Alzheimer made me forget.
Susan selected the dish of the day, a Marengo Veal.

And my apple, something absolutely disgusting, a Veal Head Gribiche Sauce.
